The 54th Santa Clara Parade of Champions, the longest-running event in the history of the city, was another huge success, with over 15,000 people in attendance. We were honored to once again have the opportunity to sponsor the event and partake in a variety of volunteer jobs.
The Parade of Champions is a time-honored legacy that began in 1945 as a way to welcome home World War II heroes. The entire city would gather in historic downtown Santa Clara to celebrate their heritage and community spirit. After a 24-year break, the beloved tradition made a comeback in 2019.
Over the years, the parade has showcased the city’s champions from all corners of public life—from sports, civic and business leaders, to arts, culture, and entertainment.
Kylli has been a proud sponsor and volunteer of this community unifying event ever since it restarted in 2019. Participating in local events that bring the community together is one of many ways that Kylli is proud to support the culture of our residents and the vibrancy of our city. We’re delighted to be a part of so many events that celebrate the spirit of our city, from the Santa Clara Arts & Wine Festival and 4th of July All City Picnic to the Santa Clara Library Palooza, and many more.
Proceeds from the Parade of Champions will go to charitable initiatives in support of veterans, youth and families in medical crisis. Event participants enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including the “Breakfast of Champions,” face painting, live entertainment and of course, the parade!
If you missed the event, there’s still time to donate and/or view past events here.
