It was fantastic that the annual Santa Clara Parade of Champions event was finally able to take place in person this year, an important milestone, and a cause of celebration for the local community.
The event took place on Saturday, October 9 and drew crowds eager to celebrate the community and front-line heroes. This year felt even more poignant given the Covid-19 pandemic and last year’s event having to take place virtually.
Members of the Kylli team were delighted to be able to offer our assistance with event logistics, and five members of the team were on hand to help throughout the day. We helped with dressing the parade carriages, traffic control and were on hand to answer questions regarding the event and direct the attendees. It was heartwarming to see the community come together and we felt privileged to be a small part of the event’s success, joining together with over 100 other volunteers.
The Santa Clara Parade of Champions is an important fixture in Santa Clara since 1945 and a non-profit event. Generations of Santa Clarans look forward to the annal event, celebrating the sense of community in the City and watching the parade – which is a particular highlight on the day.
