Housing is in high demand. How does this proposal address Santa Clara’s jobs-housing imbalance?

Because of the dire housing shortage in Silicon Valley, the jobs-housing balance is a critical issue to consider for the future healthy growth of any city. The role that Mission Point can play in this balance should be considered in the context of the area as a whole, and what land uses are appropriate on each individual development site. Santa Clara has many excellent projects in the pipeline in this immediate area, including Related Santa Clara, Tasman East, Patrick Henry, Freedom Circle, and Mission Point. Mission Point is geographically connected with the Patrick Henry Specific Plan.

Together with Patrick Henry, there will be over 14,000 residential units in the area; 3 million square feet of high-quality office and R&D space; over 120,000 square feet of neighborhood-serving retail, restaurants, and grocery; childcare, abundant open spaces and trails, and a community area for existing and new residents to enjoy.
