On June 26th, just a few days after the summer solstice, Santa Clara residents gathered at the picturesque Central Plaza to enjoy one of several free community concerts hosted by Mission College as part of their Summer Concert Series. Kylli had the pleasure of serving as presenting sponsor for the event, which featured an evening with the Cocktail Monkeys, a dynamic group of seasoned musicians who performed a blend of classic rock, modern pop, and R&B. But the concert was about more than just great music. It was an opportunity for community members to come together, forge new connections, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our local area. The successful evening brought together a diverse crowd of community members, local leaders, and Mission College staff, who all mingled with the crowd of music enthusiasts.
Kylli’s sponsorship of the June 26th concert is part of a broader effort to support and engage with the Santa Clara community. At Kylli, we recognize that our success as a mixed-use development company is intrinsically linked to the well-being of the community in which we operate. That’s why we are dedicated to partnering with local organizations and institutions, like Mission College, to create opportunities for cultural enrichment, education, and community-building. Kylli supported the Mission College Monster Dash & Bash 5K fundraiser last fall, and we look forward to many more successful collaborations in the future.
For almost 50 years, Mission College has been an anchor in the Santa Clara community. They offer a wide range of educational opportunities for youth and adults alike, helping people of all ages pursue their personal educational goals. In a recent interview, Anne Kepner, President (Chair) of the West Valley Mission Community College Board of Trustees, highlighted the numerous programs and initiatives that Mission College provides to empower young minds. You can read more about her insights here.
In the interview she shared her excitement for Kylli’s Mission Point project, which is located within walking distance of Mission College. Mission Point is an innovative mixed-development project that will transform a former high-intensity office zone into a vibrant neighborhood with retail, dining, open spaces, and housing, offering a major contribution to the revitalization of the Santa Clara North district.
The project offers many benefits to the Mission College community. Kylli has embraced a vision that creates ways for students, faculty, visitors, and residents to easily access open spaces, retail vendors, and cafes and restaurants, greatly increasing local walkability and helping to create a more vibrant community for students.
At Kylli, our mission goes beyond developing properties; we are dedicated to creating thriving communities. We understand that the physical spaces we create are just one part of the equation. Equally important are the relationships, experiences, and opportunities that bring those spaces to life. We believe that when people come together, great things happen, and we are committed to playing our part in making that a reality. By partnering with local organizations, supporting cultural events, and investing in community development, we are helping to build a stronger, more connected community.
